Although an engagement shoot is not included within wedding packages, I recommend you give this some thought.

I see this shoot as a fun ice breaker, an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little better and a chance for you to ‘rehearse’ the day. Where possible I would encourage this to take place at the venue or a place special to you both.

This shoot offers you the chance to tell me how, when and where you would like to be photographed, and for me to offer suggestions of poses and suggest and prioritise locations either at the church or the reception, or possibly a park between the two.

I want you to be relaxed on the day. I want you to understand what is expected of you, and for me to understand your expectations. So only nice surprises on your wedding day!

If you feel conscious about being photographed, this should help. After all, the most successful photographs are of a happy and relaxed couple.
